ASU Guitar Ensemble & Gospel Choir

As we enter the season of giving thanks, what could be more moving than a selection of spirituals performed for you by Appalachian State University Guitar Ensemble and Gospel Choir? Directed by Dr. Adam Kossler of the applied music faculty, the Appalachian State University Guitar Ensemble performs original music and transcriptions for a variety of audiences each semester. Directed by Dr. DaVaughn L. Miller, the Appalachian State University Gospel Choir is a large voice ensemble that specializes in performing spirituals from the Black religious tradition. It is open to all Appalachian State University students interested in singing this genre and it rehearses twice weekly during the semester. J.E. Broyhill Civic Center proudly welcomes these two great talented groups to our stage as part of our 2023-2024 Showcase of Stars.

Price: Adult Tick – $8 plus fees, All-In & Child tickets must be purchased through the box office ONLY.
